Robert Wiese
Head of Global Sourcing at Audo
I’m Robert Wiese, the Head of Global Sourcing at Audo.
I joined Audo in 2020 and my primary role is to ensure that operations are running smoothly within the supply chain. On the one hand, I bring ideas to our team, and together we implement them to improve processes. On the other hand, I bring great input from our team to bridge the gaps between departments and accelerate cross-organizational initiatives. These tasks should be realized while maintaining, and, ideally, heightening employee satisfaction.
My background
I learned about Logistics and International Trade during my Bachelor studies, which also briefly touched on Sales- and Marketing.
I started my career within a similar furniture- and design brand, where I developed my role, preparing myself for the challenges and opportunities that awaited me at Audo.
What I love most about my job
I like being in the Sourcing department as it’s somewhere in the middle of our value chain, which enables me to navigate in and with all departments in Audo, through which I’ve gained a great understanding of our needs to succeed on every level.
I'm motivated by a combination of factors that revolve around optimizing the supply chain and achieving company goals – all of which I find interesting – whether it is delivering operational excellence, making sure our partner relationships are enhanced, our lead times are aligned with market demands, or ensuring seamless project-based sales deliveries.
I like to interact with my colleagues from all departments, so I joined the Social club when I started working at Audo. The Social Club is an employee-driven team of individuals from various departments who organize social events for the higher purpose of creating a positive and motivated community. We have arranged many successful events, such as Christmas Bingo, Padel tennis tournaments, summer parties, and the yearly DHL run.
How do you think your job will evolve in the coming years?
I am committed to optimizing supply chain management and processes, with a focus on long-term results. I’d like to think that I can help Audo evolve in the coming years, while my role does the same.
My advice for someone starting out in this profession
My recommendations for someone starting out in this profession are to remain receptive to new opportunities, embrace adaptability, gain a deep understanding of the customer's ever-changing needs, and stay consistent.
Three words to describe your experience with the brand:
I’m glad to be a part of a company that embraces the rich Danish design heritage while maintaining a contemporary, global perspective.
I believe each of the departments in Audo adds up to one strong team that has undergone some changes in the past few years, but I believe the company is now ready to take on more challenges.
In three words, my experience with the brand can be summed up as:
Progressive and inspiring with a holistic product portfolio.
